It is probably true that many libraries do musical feature, and much more to attract young people.

Politiken published February 20 an article about "Pop musicians must entice the young påbiblioteket" based in Frederiksberg Library project 'GAFFA Library Session', which in collaboration warmer home scheme with the music magazine Gaffa organizes concerts at the library.
Sabrine further writes about the concerts that they "are part of the library's strategy to attract young people. 77 percent of young people aged 15-19 years using not the Danish libraries warmer home scheme because it does not interest them. It shows a survey of Danish cultural habits ... .. "
It is probably true that many libraries do musical feature, and much more to attract young people. They must also, for the libraries to be there for all people of all ages and lifestyles. But libraries are not of interest to the majority of young, is a somewhat distorted picture, which some other survey warmer home scheme indicates.
We want to change, and it is one of the tenets of the think tank Future Libraries, which will soon publish the largest Danish segmentation study is made of "young people" library use.
A little appetizer from the study: Looking at young people at school are all 90% of those who use the library, and use the proportion of young people in higher education is 77%. Among young children parents are the 63% who use the library, thus somewhat less than the other two user groups. Yet the young kids parents the user group that attaches to the library the greatest personal value.
But this - and much, much more - you can find out more about those taking part in the conference "Who is the future warmer home scheme of library?" March 5 at Nørrebro. And we will also invite Politiken to do, you can see more on db.dk article I respond to are:
