Coinciding with the St George's Day, the sector Librarians Documentalists Catalan National Assembly began the campaign "No great library without the book world has to know" whose aim to get a copy of the book Catalonia Calling: the world has to know the major European libraries in the world. hatgo
This campaign is based on the crowdfunding for people who want to get a copy of this book in a particular library. To do this we have created a website where you can select one of the hundred most important hatgo libraries in the world and where you can register to the campaign.
Among the first hundred selected libraries will be selected as national libraries Library of Congress (USA) or the British Library (UK); public libraries including the Bibliothèque Publique hatgo Information of the Centre Pompidou (Paris) and the New York Public Library; libraries internationally renowned as Cambridge or MIT. You can also send copies to the international library associations (IFLA-UNESCO, American Library Association, etc.).
Librarians Documentalists Independence will get, in addition, an email to the libraries chosen to inform the future receipt of a copy of the book and the name of the person who made the purchase hatgo (provided so when that person wants).
As will be fulfilling the objectives of the campaign, Librarians Documentalists Independence hatgo propose new libraries where to send documents. The participant, however, may also send you purchase the item in the library of their choice but not between the proposed campaign.
You can participate in this campaign to get anyone interested in libraries and their public information about the process that is currently living in Catalonia.
