"Marta Skowron creates pictures of a reality soup warmer which does not exist but is closely related to the one we know from our dreams. This reality is very complex, presenting the full, whole worlds alternative to the real one: complicated spaces organized in line with their own peculiar laws, very often of distorted perspective, twisted proportions, full of unexpected associations, clashes, objects and various views, co-existing within this colorful creative vision. The created worlds fascinate, draw you into their peculiar existence and seem to surround you and captivate within their space. At the same time, the richness and variety of the details that fill them, invites you to take a closer look at the works. The presented worlds are separate, unique and very short-lasting. They do not correspond with one another, soup warmer unless maybe as far as the mood they trigger is concerned: the emotional tension, the note of poetry... melancholy maybe even? The author brings them into existence soup warmer just for a moment, providing them with the slightly more tangible form of photographic print only to meet the needs of a time-limited exhibition."
