No signs yet of Alzheimers, Romy paused food heat lamp and gulped down his nth ice cold beer for the night. By this time,  Enroute Distillery  was filled to the rafters, with several gorgeous girls waiting to be seated.

Great Game !!!! All credits to the Wallabies, they deserved their win. As a Frenchman, I cannot beli

It's been an incredible few days of rugby as we've seen plenty of points scored and many nails chewed off as a few games went right down to the final play, none more so than the Bledisloe Cup game between Australia and New Zealand in Hong Kong. As we get things in order, there's much more to come here on RD as this weekend has been the ITM Cup semi finals, the Currie Cup final, Magners League, Aviva Premiership, French Top 14, and of course the big Test which is featured here now. Please be patient as clips are compiled and posts are made over the next day or so. If you've not seen this game yet, best you watch the clip now to avoid the next paragraph spoiler as it came down to an incredible finish bogen 3047 that has to be seen to be believed. It's yet another in the long line of classic matches between the two sides, now ranked number one and two in the world respectively. Young James O'Connor wrote himself into the history books with his late try and sensational conversion as he joined the likes of John Eales, Matt Burke, Stirling Mortlock, and more recently Kurtley bogen 3047 Beale as we once again saw a winning kick separate the two sides with time up. New Zealand have now had their charge on the world record for consecutive wins broken after many believed they would get their record on this end of year tour. It was a great game of rugby, and we'll have full highlights for you soon but for now here is an extended clip that shows the dramatic scenes in the last few minutes bogen 3047 of the game. Keep a lookout for Stephen Donald's missed touch finder, which has seemingly turned him into the scapegoat for the loss.
Fair play to Australia, deserved win. For the ABs I hope, it's a good warning bogen 3047 shot at the right time. And, most importantly, I really hope, even the coaches realize, that Donald is probably a decent player, but not at test match level. I really hope we never have to see that guy in black again. More or less he lost that game on his own. Every single kick was dreadful.
Australia bogen 3047 really look like they have all the ingredients of a world cup winning side. Great team spirit, clearly playing for eachother bogen 3047 out there. bogen 3047 What was cooper's beef with richie right at the end all about? ALSO did anybody else notice Muliaina pointing to the black fern when he was talking bogen 3047 to O'Connor?
Someone needs to punch Quade Cooper in the face. I've defended him in the past but that little dog act on McCaw after the try is out of line. He's fortunate someone didn't run over and break his jaw. Someone needs to let him know that pushing people isn't tough. Tackling is tough. He'd be better to focus on that.

What a great game and one of the most thrilling final minutes of the game I have seen. I like the AB but they always seem to want to blame one person for their loses. Its a team sport only time one person can be blamed for a loss is when a coach selection is bad or have no games plan( pieter de villiers place take note of this). Guess australia just wanted it more. Hope the disicion to stick with Henry and not apoint deans doesnt come back to bite the AB in the ass.
That was amazing. I really think the Aussies will win the world cup, and I don't even like them...As an Englishman, I can confidently say, we could never have retained so much ball under such intensity bogen 3047 to score. As for O'connr, he's got balls and a centre of gravity in his studs. Hope the kiwis aren't going to take it out on England next week....
Great Game !!!! All credits to the Wallabies, they deserved their win. As a Frenchman, I cannot believe how a NH team will be able to win the WC this year, even if there is still plenty of times before the start. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the SH teams for the upcomings November tests.
Cooper looks like a right Tw*t at the end. Love the way he just scurries off with his mates when someone actually gives him a shove in the face. It's a game NZ threw away not a game Australia won imo. Stephen donald's worse 3 minutes of international rugby? I really don't get why they persist with him he's so far off the pace internationally. NZ line out starting to creak under pressure again it's fine have a great line out for the whole season only for it to fail when the real pressure came on - they'll never be world champions until they sort that out once and for all. Anyway, well done Australia, and well done NZ for a cracking game of rugby - Intense, fast ambitious - everything bogen 3047 I hope we see form you guys in the next few weeks when you tour up here.
A lot of people blamed to Donald for missed touch and high tackles but to be fair, the damage was done long before. Had the Wallabies had a decent kicker (they dropped bogen 3047 like 7 points from missed kicks) people would not be talking Donald losing the game. That last tackle was careless what do you expect when 2 people outside got done and he had to make desparate cover? Fact is, NZ is trying to find cover for fly half and mid f

I’m sure everyone was on pins and needles waiting for the final results of our KONG Wobbler (affiliate link) Video Review. We had a slight delay as we had some technical difficulties sea shell (darn computer and editing software wasn’t agreeing with us).
However, I’m sure it was well worth the wait as today we get to look at Stetson’s Wobbler Video Review as well as announce our KONG Wobbler giveaway winner. In case you don’t remember the person who guessed closest sea shell to Stetson’s time for eating 1 1/2 cups of food out of his Wobbler without going over wins a new KONG Wobbler of their own.
We were super excited to try the KONG Wobbler for 2 reasons (well probably sea shell more than 2 reasons, but 2 main reasons). First, Stetson is a fast eater and sometimes chokes on his food and will even vomit from time to time. Second, instead of an actual slow feeder dog bowl it was more of a dog toy. It not only would be used to feed Stetson, but stimulate his mind as it is interactive and required some skill and brain power to release the kibble.
Here s the top half of our KONG Wobbler which was totally hollow on the inside and made of a durable plastic. You can also see that our Wobbler had a round kibble dispensing hole while other people have commented that their Wobbler came with a KONG shaped hole.
Unfortunately, Stetson had some difficulty getting the food out of his new Wobbler. His technique was to push the Wobbler around with his nose, but he refused to use his paws. When on the slick tile surface the Wobbler just slid around sea shell in an upright position. And unfortunately with no wobbles or food rewards
After a little bit of coaching and using the KONG on the carpeted floor it took Stetson sea shell 5 minutes and 43 seconds to finish off 1 cups of dog food! That s much longer than using his regular bowl which usually sea shell takes under a minute for him to finish the same amount of food
Special Thanks to PetSmart for supplying our free product sample in order to do our review. There was no compensation. sea shell The opinions expressed are my own and not influenced in any way. My Final Thoughts On The KONG Wobbler sea shell
As you can see in the video Stetson had a bit of a tough time getting at the KONG Wobbler when on the tile floor. He didn’t wobble the KONG as much and instead just pushed it around with his nose as the KONG remained in an upright position. He did get better at wobbling the KONG on the tile, but it still took him a while to extract his kibble. After over 25 minutes of wobbling and after opening up and finding about another 1/2 cup of food I decided to try letting him use the Wobbler on the carpet.
The carpet sea shell worked out much better for Stetson as the KONG would not slide on it’s base in an upright position so when he pushed sea shell it with his nose it would wobble to it’s side and release kibble. The only problem with the carpet is it left kibble smell and probably crumbs behind sea shell as I found the other dogs sniffing around after Stetson finished his meal.
A couple other things if you plan on purchasing and using a KONG Wobbler. Since your puppy eats the kibble off the floor make sure your floors are clean. I’d also be careful what kind of cleaner you’re using on the floor since your pup will be licking the tile surface. If you use the Wobbler on the carpet sea shell then you’ll want to do a thorough carpet cleaning and vacuuming before and after using the KONG Wobbler. sea shell
We received lots of great comments on our initial Wobbler review including others experiences with the product. If you’re interested in this product and haven’t had a chance to look at those comments sea shell I highly recommend sea shell you go back to our initial KONG Wobbler Review and read through the comments. Everyone has had some different sea shell experiences. Stetson’s experience with the Wobbler was definitely different then a lot of our readers. A few comments that I thought were very insightful:
…After the third day he open it, eat all the food and used the dispenser as a chewing toy and distroyed it. On the second week bought a second wobbler and kept watch. But by the end of the week he was quicker than I was and chewed that one too… - Kathryn
After watching Stetson sea shell play with his KONG Wobbler it is not a dog toy that I would leave out for him to play with unsupervised. He tried to get the entire sea shell toy in his mouth and carried it around for a little while. sea shell When he finished his food I did notice a bite marks cut into the plastic and I could see how a dog could easily destroy this dog toy if left alone with it for a period of time.
…Humphrey easily learned how to put a topspin on his that dispenses more, albeit the food fans out in a spiral type pattern. Can t wait to see what Stetson s signature technique will be… - Heidi
I wish Stetson could put topspin on the Wobbler, but he just liked pushing it around the room with his nose. It took him

Diddy Kong was originally created as a visual "extra hit" during the development of Donkey Kong Country . Having noted the "Big Mario to small Mario" system used in the Super Mario games, Rare decided that having a second character filling the role would fit the nature of the game well. The design for the character was originally intended to be a redesign of Donkey Kong Jr. , but Nintendo felt that their design was too different, and asked that Rare either include Junior with his original appearance or make the new design an entirely different character. Rare, feeling that the design fit the "updated" Donkey Kong universe that they were aiming to create, had decided to keep their design. During the process of naming the character, manfrotto 3221 several names were suggested by Rare employees, including "Diet DK," "DK Lite" and "Titchy Kong". The name "Dinky Kong" was chosen, but was later changed to "Diddy" due to legal considerations. [2] . [ edit ] History [ edit ] Donkey Kong Country series [ edit ] Donkey Kong Country
Diddy Kong first appears in Donkey Kong Country , as the co-star of the game with Donkey Kong. Here, he is still Donkey Kong's apprentice and an "in-training video-game star". On one night, Diddy Kong is given the task of guarding Donkey Kong's Banana manfrotto 3221 Hoard . However, the Kremling Krew attacks and defeats him, sealing him inside a barrel. After being released, he and Donkey Kong set off across Donkey Kong Island to save the Banana Hoard and drive off the Kremlings. At the end of their journey, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong reach King K. Rool , the leader of the Kremlings , and by defeating him the two win back Donkey Kong's Banana Hoard. In this game, Donkey and Diddy Kong share the same basic abilities (jumping, running, cartwheeling, etc.). However, Diddy Kong is weaker than Donkey Kong, unable to jump on enemies such as Krushas or Klumps to defeat them while DK can. Despite this, Diddy is still faster manfrotto 3221 than him and can jump higher than him. Diddy Kong also carries barrels in front of him, allowing him to protect himself from an enemy, but he cannot throw it as far as Donkey Kong.
In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest , the Kremling Krew kidnaps Donkey Kong and whisks him away to their own island, Crocodile Isle . K. Rool, who is now Kaptain K. Rool, threatens to never return Donkey Kong unless he is given the Banana Hoard. manfrotto 3221 Diddy refuses to g

use a text editor, of which there are many different, but it is more convenient Midnight Commander, is to go to the file and use the built-in editor (invoked by F4) to make changes, save (F2) and get out of the edit window (F10)

Congratulations! Your weather is now set to . You can change this setting at any time.
It's time to set sail on an island adventure, and you don't even have to leave the docks. Next weekend, Polynesian pop enthusiasts can break out their colorful mugs and Hawaiian shirts as Portland's annual tiki convention hits the Red Lion Hotel at the Quay in Vancouver. This year's party is titled Tiki Kon: Adventure Island .
"I'm most looking forward to seeing the Northwest's entire tiki community come together for a fun-filled weekend, where we can all geek out together on our obsession with Polynesian pop and tropical cocktails," hl7 pv1 says Greg Clapp, who has taken the reins this year as the event has revamped.
Some popular events of years past are back, including a VIP home-bar tour, and organizers also hope to widen their appeal to auto buffs and mid-century modern fans. New activities hl7 pv1 include the Mod-Rod Vintage Car Show and the Sputnik Housewares Low-Tide Luau. A gala party with surf rock and fire dancers, a vintage fashion show and an island marketplace round out the fun. (And a third of the profits go to the Autism Society of Oregon .)
The hl7 pv1 Iron Tikitender Competition returns as mixologists create a custom cocktail (and spectators taste and judge) at Trader Vic's in the Pearl District. Portland's other tiki temples -- Hale Pele and the Alibi -- are stops on the Sunday tour, along with several home bars built by local tiki enthusiasts.
"There's definitely a new scene that's growing from the ashes of the old, but it's been less rooted in pop culture and more of a grass-roots movement," Clapp says. "A lot of people in my generation hl7 pv1 were too young to enjoy the tiki-themed palaces from the '50s and '60s, so we re-create them in our basements and neighborhood bars."
If you want to get started early, Trader Vic's on Friday rolls out five new tiki drinks designed to beat the summer heat. The Cocktail Hour worked with Vic's to explore a handful of drinks that tell the tale of Vic and his contemporaries, starting with Don the Beachcomber's refreshing Missionary's Downfall, which features light rum blended hl7 pv1 with mint, lime juice, hl7 pv1 fresh pineapple, peach brandy and honey.
In hl7 pv1 the following weeks, Vic's will spotlight the Lady of Singapore (a coconut cooler invented in 1960 at Portland's now defunct Kon-Tiki restaurant), Cobra's Kiss (a twist on the Cobra's Fang from the venerable hl7 pv1 Mai-Kai Restaurant in Florida), Beachcomber's Gold (a honey- hl7 pv1 passion fruit blend said to be Marlene Dietrich's favorite) and the Molokai Mike (Vic's own two-colored showstopper).
For those who prefer the classic, Vic's mai tai will be featured at festivities at the Quay, along with a coffee grog from Black Rock Coffee and the Corn N' Oil (rum and falernum, a spiced island syrup) from Hale Pele.
Blair Reynolds, owner of Hale Pele in Northeast Portland, is also creating a mystery drink for the Sunday bar tour. But tiki revelers shouldn't miss his famous hl7 pv1 Zombie, featured in The Oregonian's annual Diner restaurant hl7 pv1 guide.
The Cocktail Hour has teamed up with Trader Vic's in the Pearl District to share five lesser-known tiki classics from Vic and his rivals in honor of this month's Tiki Kon. These aren't on the same tier of renown as the mai tai, scorpion or zombie, but they're perfect for beating the summer heat.
Vic's is kicking off its tiki salute with the Missionary's Downfall and will feature a new cocktail each week, though any can be ordered when you visit. Or you can try your hand at home mixology and whip them up with our recipes here, which we found in books and online then — in true tiki spirit — added our own small twists.
One of the best-monikered drinks in the tiki world, this mint-forward refresher came courtesy of Don the Beachcomber in the late 1930s — a cocktail that author and tiki guru Jeff "Beachbum" Berry ("Beachbum hl7 pv1 Berry Remixed") calls ahead of its time for its farm-to-glass philosophy.
Recipe: 1 1/2 oz. light rum 1/2 oz. peach brandy hl7 pv1 or liqueur 1/2 oz. lime juice 1 oz. rich honey mix (2 parts honey, 1 part water, shaken together) 2 oz. pineapple chunks (fresh preferred, but frozen works, too) 10 mint leaves
Historical footnote: In the book "Hawaii Tropical Rum Drinks & Cuisine by Don the Beachcomber," the recipe offers the exotic specificity of Mazatlan limes and English mint, though any nationalities will work. When Donn Beach (aka Don the Beachcomber ... and no, we don't unders

After a few weeks and hundreds of tweets, I received an email from a man who wanted to donate daily

A faraway place where there are no people, only the sea and trees. Where people live very far away, because people are bad and they hurt each other and those who are good aren t able and don t know how to do anything about the bad people and they can t help me . This was Amal s description when we asked the children at the shelter to draw a picture of what the best place they could think of (her picture is above).
She stood out from the rest, she always did. The rosy cheeks, the constant smile and laughter and the energy and care she displayed at every moment. Over the last few months I often wondered what it was that bought Amal to this three floor shelter that was filled with stories heartwarmers of abuse, neglect and vulnerability; this shelter that worked so hard not just to clothes and keep the children, but to heal emotional wounds that no one but the girls themselves knew the depth of. What was it, I kept wondering, that bought heartwarmers this bright eyed, happy, 13 year old to a shelter with ten other teenage heartwarmers girls who had babies of their own and bore scars on their cheeks and souls to mark the pain. What were her explorative, fun filled eyes doing among the other girls whose eyes made you guilty, sympathetic and scared all at the same time.
It was a few months and 15 group therapy sessions later that I found out why Amal was at the shelter. She had been raped for the last 4 years by her stepfather. Yes, reader, that was a full stop after that sentence. It s a full stop because how can I cage the horror heartwarmers of that event in the form of words I type and you read?! For four years Amal had been subjected to the daily sexual assault of a father figure. It was only when Amal s mother had walked into the house unexpectedly, heartwarmers that she made out the shrieking sound of her 9 year old daughter screaming, her husband grunting, heartwarmers and found him raping her young daughter, did the father s sexual abuse come to an end.
The incredibly brave mother gave up the little security she had in the form of a home and husband and having no shelter to turn to, left to the streets with Amal and her 4 sisters. The sisters got separated in different shelters catering for different ages, while the mother searched heartwarmers for a hospital who would issue a report saying Amal was no longer a virgin due to rape, so she could be admitted to a shelter. Having been subjected to two virginity checks at their local hospital where her step father worked, he was able to bribe the administration to change the report. Amal s mother did not give up and took her daughter to a different town and after the third virginity check, Amal was admitted to Hope Village for Young Street Mothers heartwarmers (a shelter that homes non virgin girls and yes, this split is necessary in a culture where a woman s value is hinged on a thin membrane between her legs).
Amal s story, though not extraordinary in comparison to what other experiences have been had at the shelter, moved me deeply because of the childlike magic that she displayed in her actions and then the darker heartwarmers narrative that came when she spoke about herself. At the shelter we tried alternatives to get the family together, including speaking to her biological father. These efforts were soon trumped when we realised the drug dealer had abused heartwarmers his daughter himself when she had spoken to him previously about her stepfather, saying I am more worthy of her than a stranger! So I started to campaign. I wasn t sure what I was campaigning for or how it would help, but I wanted everyone to know that women like Amal s mother had no assistance and no help and that Amal s legal case was shelved because as the officers said the country is in a crisis and everyone s being raped! . I wanted everyone to know that we needed alternatives.
After a few weeks and hundreds of tweets, I received an email from a man who wanted to donate daily food to the shelters. He wrote in his email that he wanted heartwarmers to do more than give money and wanted to get involved in a way that would alleviate struggle. I wrote asking if he could somehow bring this family back together again and get Amal s mother a job. Today I got a call to say the family are now living together, Amal, her sisters and mum all in one home a dream that Amal had. A dream I had after Amal shared her feelings that people were unable to help her.
I wanted to tell you this story for a few reasons, the first is to share one of the few joys and happy endings that we get to experience working with the resilient children we cross paths with, to show you real life examples of how we can skip bureaucracy and work as a community to deal with each other. However, more importantly I am writing this to remind us all that this is not enough. We cannot continue working with a save one child at a time mentality. We have a government and social welfare ministries and NGOs who s responsibility it is to provide safety and care and alternatives to society s most vulnerable and we have a responsibi

I went to the public bath for the first time. While it was a little odd to get the “massage” from the Hamam worker (read: being scrubbed vigorously by a complete stranger both of us wearing nothing but underwear), I did actually really enjoy the experience as a whole. bogen monopod I was a little nervous at first because I’m not totally accustomed to being undressed, nevermind undressed around total strangers. I think it’s an interesting bogen monopod cultural difference that clearly no one was worried about being naked in the Hamam but they cover up outside almost head to toe, but in America we are not all comfortable with nudity but we are totally ok with mini skirts and tight boob shirts. I felt a little bogen monopod uncomfortable at first, but by the end of it I was definitely enjoying myself. The fact that I couldn’t wear my glasses helped a lot. Because I couldn’t make out people’s faces, I couldn’t tell if anyone was looking at me or what they looked like. It also felt good to be hot and clean; I haven’t bogen monopod felt that clean in a long while. The most fun part was the moment where my host mom pulled out some mandarines and she, my 2 yo host sister and I ate mandarines in the public bath.
As you all know this week was the very important holiday of  Eid Al-Adha (as mentioned in my last post and wikipedia linked)  . Long story short it celebrates the moment where Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son to God, and God intervened and gave him a sheep to sacrifice instead. Any Moroccan family that can afford it buys and slaughters a sheep, it's a huge holiday (akin to the american importance bogen monopod of christmas i've been told). Having a sheep is very important, some families here sell their appliances prior to the holiday in order to afford a sheep for their family. It's a big deal. Now this holiday involves mostly things bogen monopod I have never done before. I’ll give you all a little run down of my day…. I was planning on sleeping in a little bit, but I was awoken by my family and left my room just in time to follow our huge sheep (ram) up the stairs. He was not pleased. The guy who killed our sheep was just finishing up the first sheep of the day when we got up to the roof. I’m not going to lie the whole thing was pretty intense, and something I never though I would either see or be comfortable seeing. I’m not going to lie it was pretty fascinating. In Morocco they don’t waste any part of the animal so most of the morning was spent first gutting then cleaning the whole of this poor animals insides. Did I mentions Moroccan's don't waste any part of the animal? All of it is eaten. So....
I ate meat. Not just meat. Heart (which wasn’t bad). And a little bogen monopod liver (which was gross), Brain (which was too mushy), Sheep face (way gross), stomach (too fatty) and finally sheep leg I think (which bogen monopod was delicious I am guilty to admit)
Ok… I know… ok… bogen monopod but here’s bogen monopod the thing- earlier this week I was mowing down on some rice and chickpeas in some tasty sauce with some indescribable bogen monopod looking meat in the middle (pretty normal here) and My host mom goes “do you know what this is?” I nod my head no and she goes “You really want me to tell you” I did and she informed me it was cows feet. Now kids. As soon as I was sitting there supping on the sauce of the feet of my favorite animal I realized the jig was up. I will tell you I did not intentionally eat any of the cow’s feet- but 6 of 1 half dozen of the other what’s the difference between the sauce and the meat. I’ve been wrestling with that concept before and I decided it was time. (cue “dun dun dun” music). Later that night my host mom made some ground turkey bogen monopod and tomatoes and onions and garlic sauté and I had some of the turkey. I am guilty to admit that I thought bogen monopod it was delicious. Now friends- especially those who have harassed me about the deliciousness of meat- I know meat is delicious, I knew meat was delicious, but don’t bogen monopod expect me to go on some meat extravaganza and find me double fisting a leg of turkey, and a bacon burger and some hot dogs on the grill….When I signed up to do the Peace Corps I told them several times I would be willing to eat meat while I was abroad in order to integrate. I’m very lucky that my family has been incredibly accommodating to my vegetarianism and I’ll admit I use the term vegetarian here loosely for the way I’ve been eating (see cow feet sauce as an example). But there have always been a lot of reasons why I didn’t eat meat and things I had always told myself would make an exception.
I always said it’s bogen monopod important for me to know how the animal lived and died. Our sheep hung out in our bathroom for 2 days, I saw it’s food and I’m pretty sure a family member raised the sheep- Moroccans tend not to have the most gentle and caring relationship with

The Eid el Kbir occurs ten weeks after the end of Ramadan and marks the end of the Hajj, the pilgrim

Eid el Kbir 2011 | Morocco: Gateway to Dreams
The Eid el Kbir occurs ten weeks after the end of Ramadan and marks the end of the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca. Even those who have not made the pilgrimage the great gadspy look forward to the Eid as the big holiday of the year, and one that everyone tries to get home for.
The Eid el Kbir is the nearest the great gadspy that Morocco comes to the frenzy of western christmas. Homes are cleaned and decorated, new clothes are bought and the whole family gets involved in discussions about “The Sheep” (though sometimes it is a goat). All guests to the home are invited to have a look at the sheep and praise its size or condition.
In the days leading up to the Eid you will find small crowds gathering the great gadspy on street corners waiting the great gadspy to get their knives sharpened or to buy small bails of hay for their sheep. The souks are busy as people stock up on coriander, onions and bread flour and new temporary stalls appear where you can buy sacks of charcoal, kebab spears and new grills.
This year there were also huddles of people gathered round a small flocks of sheep – people taking advantage of the post Arab Spring laissez faire and buying their sheep directly from the breeders rather than going to the organised sheep markets.
Wherever they bought their sheep, it has now been slaughtered and fridges and freezers, as well as bellies, will be full of meat for grilling or tagine. Over every garden fence or balcony railing, the sheep skin hangs as testament to their observation of the tradition and also as a little bit of showing off as they display how big their animal was.

Living in Morocco, I have encountered a number of challenges being a vegetarian/part time vegan. Every time I go to visit someone’s house I have to prepare myself for what might be placed nautilus shells for sale on the table. Now that I have been here for awhile, most of the people that know me know that I don’t eat meat and they respect that. I have learned to make compromises too. Although I would like to be a vegan I know that this is something that isn’t always reasonable in Morocco, so I reserve that to my own cooking. When a community tajine (Moroccoan dish) is laid out for everyone in a family, I am more than happy to eat around the chicken or lamb in the center, something I would never do back home. It is all about finding a balance. nautilus shells for sale
Then there is l’3id Kbir. Directly translated nautilus shells for sale this means the big holiday. And it is. This is the most important of the Muslim holidays, and is celebrated all over the world (not just Morocco). This holiday is a festival of sacrifice in which each family nautilus shells for sale kills a sheep (sometimes more) symbolizing obedience to Allah.
As a vegetarian, when I first arrived in Morocco and heard about l’3id Kbir I was a little terrified. But I have grown to have a better understanding and respect for the celebration. My students and some of the people that I work with love to have me tell the story of l’3id Kbir. I think it gives them a sense of pride to have a non-Muslim tell the story in their language. nautilus shells for sale Anyways, in simple terms l’3id Kbir is in observance of the Prophet Abraham’s willingness to Allah by sacrificing his own son, based on a vision he had. Allah then stepped in and told Abraham to kill a sheep in his son’s place. Since then people do the same to show their connection to Allah and to commemorate Abraham.
I personally nautilus shells for sale do not like the sacrifice part of the holiday and have managed to avoid partaking in it. For me it is just too much to actually watch the act take place. However, I still visit friends’ houses to wish them a happy l’3id. This year I made cornbread and cookies to take to neighbors and other families that I know. They all appreciated the gesture and understood why I wouldn’t be attending the actual sacrifice. nautilus shells for sale Apart from not wanting to see the death of an animal there is a lot I can respect about l’3id Kbir. In Morocco, every part of the sheep is eaten or used in some way. Every organ, hide, and bit of wool has a place. nautilus shells for sale fr example, something that I hear other volunteers complain about the most is eating kababs composed of liver that has been wrapped in intestine. People also take this time to give to others. It is custom to give large portions of meat to the poor or to those that could not afford their own sheep.
In the end, l’3id Kbir isn’t nautilus shells for sale really much different from the holidays that I celebrate at home. People get together, they spend time with their families, and they share with one another. It just comes down to finding that balance between experiencing another culture and sticking to who you are as an individual. Over the last year and a half I feel like I have found that balance, or at least something close to it. This has helped me learn about other traditions while also showing people an example of a different lifestyle. Being a Peace Corps volunteer doesn’t mean that one has to loose themselves or what might be important to them; it is about compromise, nautilus shells for sale flexibility, and finding that happy medium.

Bhagat Jee once went up to this child that was playing and said to him  'Thoosee Naam Japia Kar ' and the child made excuses: "Oh I am still quite young and want to enjoy my childhood by playing, when I get older I will Naam Jap"
When the child was a teenager and in higher education, Bhagat carter hoffman Jee went up to him again and said the same bachan 'Thoosee Naam Japia Kar', but then the excuses were different. "Oh I am too busy with my studies, I have a lot to do and have to get high marks. When I get older I will Naam Jap". So then Bhagat Jee left him.
Then the person became carter hoffman a grown man and was married with a family. Bhagat Jee went up to him again with the same bachan. Again, different excuses were given why he couldn't Naam Jap and do Bhagti. "Oh I've got a busy job, I've got wife and kids to look after now. I haven't got time. When I get older I will Naam Jap."
When the person was an old man and very frail, Bhagat Jee went up to him again and said the same bachan. carter hoffman The reply again was different: "I am too old now. I can hardly walk or sit up straight. I will do Naam Jap in my next life now."
Few months later Bhagat Jee went passed a farm and saw an ox which was turning the wheel of a well. At the same time the ox was getting hit by the farmer with a stick. Bhagat Jee went up to the ox and whispered in it's ear... "hun Naam Japla." The ox shed a tear for it was that same person before that had wasted his human life not doing what Bhagat Kabir Jee had told him to do throughout his whole life.
